Free Strathclyde University Online Training Course
A FREE (yes, free) online course for family history provided through Strathclyde University's distance learning programme starts on 21st January. You can see details and sign up by clicking here.
One of our members and a seasoned researcher, who has participated in a previous course, highly recommends this programme. You will be expected to do 4 hours a week - ditch a couple of hours TV twice weekly and you'll be there!! That said, we are told that you can be sidetracked and spend more time - for the benefit of your own research. The website quotes one past participant who started research in 1962 and found the course very beneficial.
It's free so do give it a go! And please write about your experience for the Journal in due course!
