A hamlet, sometimes referred to as Stretton-under-Fosse and Newbold Revel, in the extensive ancient parish of Monks Kirby, is approximatey 1.5 miles south-south-east from Monks Kirby.
There is no church in the hamlet
Congregational chapel (built 1781 now closed)
The manor house at Newbold Revel was the home of Sir Thomas Mallory who wrote “Le Morte D’Arthur”.
