BURTON HASTINGS

 

LOCATION:
It lies about four miles south east of Nuneaton.  Shelford is within the parish. 

CHURCH:
St Botolph 

HISTORY:
The village was called Bortone in the Domesday Book of 1086.  The Hastings family, the Earls of Prembroke, who held the manor until 1529 gave the village name its suffix.
