Instructions for using the NNWFHS Shop
Before placing your order please ensure that you have read our Terms & Conditions.
TIP: To display these instructions as you go along click on the print icon at the top right of this page. This will show the instructions in a pop-up box which you can minimise and call back up whenever you need them; alternatively print the instructions for future use.
- Click on the publications section you want to see from the list on the left under 'VIRTUEMART MODULE'.
- Click on the publication you wish to buy. This displays a screen showing price and a check box in the middle saying 'Non-Member Price. If you are a Society member, click on this box and select (click) the item that says 'Members Discount -£0.50'. This will apply the members reduced price in your shopping cart. Please note that some publications may also have options to choose 'UK members/ UK non-members UK postage discount' (where single purchases within the UK can be posted at large letter rate rather than packet). Enter the quantity you wish to buy using the small arrows next to the 'Quantity' box, the click 'Add to Cart'. If you want to ask a question about the publication before deciding to buy then click on the box that says 'ASK A QUESTION ABOUT THIS PRODUCT' This will take you to an e-mail screen where you can send your query to the NNWFHS Publications manager.
- The shopping cart is now displayed showing the publication and the price. If you have finished shopping click on 'Checkout' If you are a member and have a further discount coupon, enter the code in the box and click on the 'Submit' button before clicking on 'Checkout'. If you wish to purcase further publications click on 'Continue Shopping'. This will take you back to the publication menus. If you are a member you MUST select the 'Members Discount' price option for each publication. If you decide not to purchase a publication or you selected the wrong price you can delete the item in the cart by clicking on the blue icon in the 'Quantity/Update' column.
- When you are in the Checkout screen, fill in the required information. Note: Members please enter your membership number in the box marked 'Membership Number', Non-members type 'X'. It is important to enter the 'Country' as this will determine the post charges applied to the parcel. You will need to check the box agreeing to the 'Terms of Service' for the transaction to proceed. When all is completed click on 'SEND REGISTRATION'
- You will now see a screen that displays the packing and postage costs that will be applied to the order. This is determined by the weight and destination; the 'Shipper' will always be the Royal Mail. Click 'NEXT' when ready.
- You are now in in the 'Select a Payment Method' screen. You will see two options: 'Cheque' and 'Paypal and credit cards'.If you wish to pay by CHEQUE then select the cheque option, click 'NEXT' when ready and follow the instructions in section 7 below. If you want to pay by 'PAYPAL' or by a 'CREDIT CARD' then select the 'Paypal and credit cards' option, click 'NEXT' when ready and follow the instructions in section 8 below.
- You are now in the 'Complete Order' screen. When you are completely happy, check the box agreeing to the 'Terms of Service' (please ensure you have read our terms & conditions first) then click on ' CONFIRM ORDER'. You will get a message saying the order has been successfully placed on our system and that a confirmation e-mail has been sent to you. Now you will need to print the order, raise the cheque and send it to us for processing. To do this click on the link which says 'Follow this link to view the order details' You will see a screen showing the order and your address details etc. Print this by clicking on the printer symbol on the top right of the screen. Make out a cheque ( payable to NNWFHS) for the total amount and send the printed order and cheque to the address shown.
- You are now in the 'Complete Order' screen. When you are completely happy, check the box agreeing to the 'Terms of Service' (please ensure you have read our terms & conditions first) then click on 'CONFIRM ORDER'. You will now be re-directed to the PAYPAL site. If you have a Paypal account, login and follow the onscreen instructions. If you do not have a Paypal account and wish to make a payment by Credit/Debit card, then follow the link that says 'Don't have a Paypal account? and follow the onscreen instructions. After Paypal has finished the transaction it asks if you wish to return to the NNWFHS Shop site. Click on this link and you will go to a page on the NNWFHS shop site congratulating you on making the purchase. Click on the link on this page that says ' Follow this link to view the Order Details'. This will take you to a copy of your purchase order. Order status should show as 'Confirmed'. This means we have received your payment and will now dispatch the goods.
- To come out of the checkout process select 'Home' on the main menu or close the tab to leave the shop.
